  2. What happens at a Speed Dating Event?

Welcome to your evening of Speed Dating. You are dressed to impress and ready to date. The night of Speed Dating is meant to be fun and enjoyable. Your hosts have created a safe and comfortable atmosphere for you to feel more at ease. As you arrive you will be greeted by your host at the door who will take your coat, hand you your Datecard and your nametag. There will be around 20 minutes mingling with icebreakers allowing everyone to relax, take their time and get ready for the fun ahead.

Each date lasts for 5 minutes with an intermission half way through the evening to mix, mingle and enjoy some appetizers. Throughout the dates, the ladies take their seats leaving the men to rotate table to table in alphabetical order.

At the end of the evening your Datecard will be handed to the hosts and within 48 hours you will receive an email with your matches. The evening does not have to end here; everyone is invited to mingle and have another drink with each other. Your evening may just have begun. Enjoy!

  3. What happens at a Dinner Dating Event?

Welcome to an evening of tantalizing conversation over a three-course meal. As you arrive you will be greeted by your hosts who will hand you your Datecard, your name tag and let you know the table that you will be sitting at. There will be around 20 minutes of cocktails and mingling with icebreakers allowing everyone to relax, take their time and get ready for the dinner conversations ahead.

For the seating, your hosts will take you to your seat. There are three tables with a ratio of two men and two women at each table. Once seated, your server for the evening will introduce himself/herself and provide you with the menu and drink list. The menu is a set three-course meal with a vegetarian option. Each date takes place over one of the three courses. Each date lasts about half an hour. At the host's direction, the men will rotate to the next table as the ladies remain in their seats.

At the end of the evening the hosts will come to your table to let you know that they will be by within the next ten minutes to collect your Datecard. Once your Datecard is handed to the hosts, you will receive an email with your matches within 48 hours. The evening does not have to end here; everyone is invited to mingle and enjoy each other's company. Your evening may just have begun.

  6. How long does an event last?

    That depends on the event!

A Speed Dating event starts at 7:30pm and depending on the number of guests, the event generally wraps up around 9:30pm.

A Dinner Dating event generally last up to two hours as well.

The Singles Parties are known to go well into the night, generally wrapping up at closing time - approximately 1:00am.

Our Mix-and-Mingle events last for at least two hours.

  7. What if I like someone?

Most of the time at a Speed Dating event, the gong has sounded and five minutes was definitely not enough time. What now? Tick their name on your Datecard, hand it to your host at the end of the evening and within 48-hours you will find out if the feeling was mutual - fingers crossed! There is also plenty of time to mingle in the intermission and after the event.

Our Dinner Dating events are quite similar in scope. Tick their name on your Datecard, hand it to your host at the end of the meal and within 48-hours you will find out if the feeling was mutual. Once again, there is also plenty of time to mingle prior to and after the meal.

Singles Parties and the Mix-and-Mingle events are slightly different from the dating events. Guests do not have a Datecard in hand. Rather, it is up to each guest whether or not to give out their email address.
