Contact

Email your matches right away. Keep in mind that you may not be the only one who matched with this person so waiting three days and playing it cool can give someone else a head start. You don't have to make plans immediately but let the person know you are glad you made a match.

Curiosity Killed the Cat

Don't ask people if you are his/her only match-if a person wants to tell you, he/she will. If you ask, it gives off the impression that you are insecure and wondering if the person is seeing other people, before you have even started dating. If a person has checked 'yes' to you, that should give you enough confidence to know that he/she is interested in you and you are making good progress.

Emails

Emailing is a good way to ease into things; however, we don't recommend using this method of communication for too long. When it comes down to it, email is quite impersonal. In the first email or two, ask for a phone number or offer yours. Once you have spoken on the phone, arrange a simple meeting. Remember, the reason you are communicating is because you have made a connection, now it is time to go out and have a good time!

The Second Date

Although there is nothing wrong with the standard "Dinner and a Movie" package, we recommend an upgrade. Start simple. Go for coffee, a walk or do something active. The best date experiences happen when you are engaged in a fun activity. This relieves the natural pressure to talk but allows you plenty of opportunity to communicate. Try bowling, miniature golf or going to a spectator sport.

The Love Potion

Speed Dating is not the magical solution to love. You are putting yourself in a situation where you can meet other single people in a friendly and social environment. Don't be discouraged if you didn't meet your perfect match at the first event. Some of our members that have ended up in long term relationships came to a number of events before they met the right person.
